Terms of Service
Effective: November 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Adi Berenson, an independent developer based in Israel ("we") about using Zanjabeel, on the web and in the iPhone and Android apps (the "service"), and our website, zanjabeel.ai. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. The service
Zanjabeel teaches spoken Arabic and spoken Hebrew through speaking practice, exercises, quizzes and practice conversations. Parts of the service use automatic speech recognition and AI to check your answers and respond to you. We add, change and remove courses and features over time.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use the app. You can join by signing up in the app or with an invite code.
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account is for one person. Don't share it.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. When you join, you give your year of birth and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
- If you are between 13 and 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian to use the service and to buy a subscription.
3. Free lessons and subscriptions
- Some lessons in each course are free, as shown in the app. The rest require a subscription.
- Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and your store account is charged, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial. New subscribers may get a free trial, as shown in the app. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid subscription and you are charged on the date shown when you started it. We send a reminder about a day before, if you allowed notifications, but it is your responsibility to cancel in time.
- Cancelling. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings (the app's Settings has a link). You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription by itself.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
- Your legal right to cancel. If the law gives you a right to cancel a purchase (for example, Israel's Consumer Protection Law), you can use it through the store's refund process, or write to us at info@zanjabeel.ai and we will help.
- Price changes apply from your next renewal, and the store will notify you as its rules require.
- We may give some users free access (for example, early pilot participants). Free access can end with notice.
4. Using the service fairly
Don't:
- copy, resell or publish our lessons, audio or other content;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of the service you are not allowed into;
- disrupt the service, overload it, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows;
- use the practice conversations to produce harmful, illegal or abusive content;
- use automated tools to scrape or mass-use the service.
5. AI and speech recognition
Answer checking, feedback and practice conversations are produced automatically. They can be wrong: the app may accept a mistake or reject a correct answer, and AI replies may contain errors. Treat them as practice help, not as authoritative language advice.
6. Certificates
Course diplomas in the app mark that you completed a course in Zanjabeel. They are not an accredited qualification.
7. Our content and yours
- The lessons, text, audio, images, design and software are ours or our licensors'. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them in the service for your own learning.
- Your recordings and answers remain yours. You allow us to use them to run and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice when reasonable. If we shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and stop charging renewals.
9. Availability and liability
- We work to keep the service running, but it is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
10. Apple and Google
If you got the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play:
- these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for the app and its content;
- Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation;
- Apple and Google are not responsible for claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual-property claims;
- you confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US list of prohibited parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction, unless consumer law where you live gives you the right to go to court there.
13. Language versions
These terms are also published in Arabic and Hebrew. If the versions differ, the English version applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
